The meanings of error numbers that you may see on the Internet

  •  403: It is prohibited to link to this page
  •  404: Page not found
  •  500: A problem with the site itself
  •  401: To see the page you need a license (password)
  •  301: That page has been permanently moved
  •  307: This page has been moved temporarily
  •  405: I got that page wrong
  •  408: Time to try to get to the page before it reaches it
  •  414: The URL of the page / site URL is longer than normal
  •  503: The service is not available, possibly due to a lot of pressure on the site
  •  All 100 numbers: means additional information (you will not often see it)
  •  All 200 numbers: means success (you won't see it often)
  •  All 300 numbers: Redirection
  •  All 400 numbers: Failure from the customer “you”
  •  All 500 numbers: Failure from the server "the site itself"
